Dance Gallery Youth Ballet (DGYB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, pre-professional ballet company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, dedicated to fostering advanced classical ballet training and enriching performance opportunities for dancers aged 11 and up. Our mission is to nurture a deep passion for the art of dance while creating a positive and inclusive environment that brings families from all walks of life together.
At DGYB, we offer rigorous training designed to prepare students for post-secondary and professional dance opportunities. Through expert instruction, mentorship, and performance experiences, our dancers develop the technical proficiency, artistic expression, and work ethic needed to pursue higher education in dance or embark on a professional career. We provide the guidance and tools necessary for navigating auditions, building portfolios, and understanding the demands of the dance industry.
Our program extends beyond technical training, equipping students with essential skills such as discipline, resilience, and time management, which are invaluable in both dance and life. By immersing our dancers in high-caliber training and opportunities, we create a pathway for them to achieve their goals while instilling a lifelong appreciation for the art form.
In addition to training dancers, we engage the broader Sioux Falls community with dance education and outreach initiatives that cultivate a deeper appreciation for the arts. While participation in Dance Gallery Youth Ballet requires a significant commitment from both dancers and their families, it offers a transformative journey, preparing young artists to excel in their pursuits and inspiring a love for dance that lasts a lifetime.
